My Review

I recommend Soul Mend for anyone who needs help relieving stress or overwhelm, overcoming depression, letting go of anger, stopping panic attacks from recurring, or stopping the endless pain from their own actions or other people’s. Consistent use of the techniques in this book will help you gain peace and joy.

I have caught a glimpse of God helping me to let go of trauma and negative thoughts in much the same way. I loved reading about Luann Dunnuck’s experiences which were similar to my own but she has been working through this much longer than I. Her book spoke to me and showed me how to release even more generational issues. She explains very clearly how emotions and negative thought patterns can be handed down like DNA. The healing techniques are easy and the process is rewarding.

Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
Psalms 90:16

If you are new to this, don’t worry! Luann helps make the process of getting out of stress mode and healing from trauma clear. I suggest to pay attention to what stands out as you read. Highlight or underline these phrases so you can return to work on them later, if not immediately, as you read through the book. God has an individualized message for each of us.

As Luann demonstrates, God desires with His whole heart to help us. I first started learning this as I read and worked with another great book, Feelings Buried Alive Never Die by Karol K. Truman, which is a great accompaniment but does not replace Soul Mend.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

As you work through Soul Mend, you will also learn to pray more intently and will see God’s hand aiding you. It’s a process I am still perfecting. Reading Soul Mend has helped me discover new ways to support my healing relationship with God. I encourage you to get a copy and begin your own healing journey or take a new step on your healing journey today. For those who already work on clearing emotions, this book is an excellent addition to your collection! I plan on purchasing my own printed copy and several as Christmas gifts.

I received a free advanced reader copy of this book. All opinions are completely my own.

More from Luann

SOUL MEND was written to break people out of their emotional chains! I know first hand what such things as anxiety, strife, guilt, and unforgiveness feel like. I know first hand how devasting these emotions can be on the physical body. After walking through some of these issues and recovering from a debilitating diagnosis I decided it was time to go back to school, get my counseling degree, and help other people! In SOUL MEND I cover the three sources of negative thinking and how they impact our emotional and physical health. There are chapters on; a broken heart, stress, guilt, self-reproach, anxiety, and anger/bitterness. Each chapter contains study questions to help the reader identity and heal from toxic emotions. The book ends on a uplifting and encouraging note on how God created you to walk in His destiny and His goodness. There is always a purpose in your pain and the Bible is clear that what the enemy meant for evil God promises to turn around for God when we seek Him (Genesis 50:20, Romans 8:28). I am excited to go on this journey with you and help you discover the healing and destiny that awaits you!
